Dress Code Guidelines

Men

Course 

  • The traditional dress is a collared or turtle-neck golf shirt or skivvy and tailored pants or shorts, preferably with a belt;
  • Shirts must be tucked in;
  • Neat, tailored hoodies specifically designed as golfwear;
  • Visible short/crew socks that are either predominately white or complement the colour of other clothing;
  • Long socks must be pulled up at all times;
  • Golf shoes with soft sikes (no metal spikes);

Denim; cargo pants; track suits; brief, baggy or below knee length shorts; and runners or gymnasium shoes are not permitted.

 

Clubhouse

As above, but additionally, clean golfing attire, including golf shoes, is acceptable. ‘Boat’ shoes are permitted in the clubhouse without socks. More formal attire may be required for nominated Club functions or events.

Women

Course

  • Skirts, golf dresses, pants, ¾ pants and tailored shorts;
  • Suitable shirts, with or without a collar are acceptable excluding singlet tops;
  • Tops must be tucked in unless they are specifically designed to be worn out;
  • Neat, tailored hoodies specifically designed as golfwear;
  • Visible short/crew socks that are predominantly white or complement the colour of the clothing;
  • Golf shoes with soft sikes (no metal spikes)

Denim; leggings; track suit style pants (with elastic cuffs); stirrup pants; cargo pants; runners or gymnasium shoes, and any form of active wear are not permitted.

 

Clubhouse

As above but additionally, clean golfing attire, including golf shoes, is acceptable. More formal attire may be required for nominated Club functions or events.

General

More formal attire may be required for nominated Club functions or events. Hats or visors may be worn in the Golf Shop or locker rooms, but not in other areas of the Clubhouse.

Singlet-type tops, casual T-shirts and garments with any advertising or slogans (except for discreet brand names and club logos) are not permitted.

Members are encouraged to arrive and depart from the Club in attire suitable for the course and clubhouse.

 

Enforcement

This Policy will be enforced by the Club’s staff, and their judgment as to the suitability of attire shall be considered final.

Policy Breach

In the event of any breach of this Policy, disciplinary action may be commenced under the Club Rules.  In this regard, it is noted members are responsible for the actions of their guests.
